Zeno Clash (PC)

This is a very unusual game with strange, surreal visuals, and a confusing story, yet it's also strangely interesting.  Zeno Clash is filled with odd-looking creatures, and a pre-industrial punk-like sensibility.  It's a first person action game where you spend a lot of your time punching and kicking enemies, though there are still times where you can use firearms.  The game is very short (only 4-ish hours), but it certainly is an experience.

Revenge of the Titans (PC)

2011 was a crazy year for tower defense games.  It seemed like there were a couple of new ones coming out every month, all claiming to have some sort of twist that made them stand out.  Really, though, it was just a bad case of market saturation.  Revenge of the Titans was one notable exception for me during that period.  It had a really great retro charm to it that made the game really appealing, the equipment you could get was neat, and after each map you could assign new projects for your research team to look into  It's a game definitely worth looking into, and there's even a demo, so go check it out. =)

Bulletstorm (PC)

I wasn't hugely interested in this game when it first came out because the juvenile language and general attitude that I got from the game looking at its trailers was a big turn off for me.  However, I eventually picked it up at a Steam sale for next to nothing, and the game was alright.  I'm certainly glad that I didn't pay $60 for Bulletstorm, but there was a bit of fun to be had, and the trick shots were kinda neat.

Drakensang: The River of Time (PC)

It's a bit on the janky side with some minor technical issues (like an iffy frame rate), but there's a lot to like about this computer RPG.  If you're a fan of the Baldur's Gate or Icewind Dale series, I highly recommend trying this game out (maybe wait for a sale if you're thinking about buying it, though).  The battle system here has a lot of similarities to those classics, there's a lot of depth to how you can develop your characters, and the story is reasonably enjoyable for all of its standard fantasy fair.

Hard Reset (PC)

Looking for an FPS with a decent single-player experience, and placed in a futuristic setting?  If so, you may want to try Hard Reset.  It's pretty darn good.  There's even a demo, so go check it out. =)

Avadon: The Black Fortress (PC)

If you're interested in old school computer RPGs, you may want to check out the various games Spiderweb Games have on offer, as they are very reminiscent of what one would expect from the genre in the mid to late 90s.  Avadon is one of their more recent titles, where you play as the member of a peace keeping force in a fantasy setting where the people you work for are a strange mix between the Gestapo and the UN.  Interesting, entertaining stuff.

Monday Night Combat Screenshots (PC)

I really like the sense of humor in this game, and the different classes are a bunch of fun too.  Now there's even a free to play sequel in the works.  Huzzah!

Dungeon Defenders Screenshots (PC)

Dungeon Defenders is a very action-oriented tower defense game.  It's become quite popular since its release, and has a ton of DLC.  Personally not my cup of tea, though.  I much prefer Orcs Must Die! and Sanctum. ^_^

A.R.E.S. Screenshots (PC)

A.R.E.S. is a very short Mega Man clone.  Not a bad game if you can get it on the cheap.  Wait for a Steam sale! =D
